I know what you’re thinking: “Effing instant noodles on a recipe site?!” 😂
Look, instant noodles/ramen aren’t exactly winning any health-food awards. But everything in moderation, right? Sometimes you just need a quick, salty, ridiculously satisfying bowl of noodles—and I’m not here to judge.
And just to be clear: this is NOT a soup. There is no broth! You boil the noodles in water, drain them completely, then toss them with the included seasoning packets and add whatever your heart desires.
Eggs? Yep. Veggies? A must… it’s nobeigemeals.com! Leftover chicken? Throw it in. Hot sauce? Obviously. Basically, souped-up noodles are whatever you want them to be.
Here are the noodles that I use here:

Ingredients
1 pack (80g) Indomie Mi Goreng noodles
1 egg
green onions
matchstick carrots
red chili pepper (optional)
Directions
- Boil noodles and mix flavour packets according to package instructions.
- Add a few matchstick carrots to the boiling noodles.
- Fry one egg in a little butter and place on top of noodles and pour any remaining butter into the bowl.
- Top with sliced green onions and sliced fresh red chili pepper.
Notes
- I prefer the hot & spicy version of the Mi goreng noodles. They’re not too spicy but add a touch of heat compared to the mild version.
- I like the fried egg yolk a little runny so it will mix in with the noodles.
- Optional: any hot pepper will do but I like red pencil hot peppers for the pop of colour. No beige meals! Sriracha also works.
